Luanda, Republic of Angola

The industrial facility of the tractor assembly line in Special Economic Zone Luanda - Bengo is ready to be inaugurated, having already produced the first tractors, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the inauguration has been postponed and will be carried out as soon as normality is restored.

With a production capacity of 3000 units per year, production began with more than 80% of the local workforce, with a plan to replace expatriate staff with local staff, including executive and management positions through the training of technicians.

In addition to the assembly line, a training centre has been set up in the factory, which will have three components, namely the training program for factory technicians; the training program for farmers to operate and maintain tractors and implements, which will be free of charge; and the training program for specialist trainers so that they can provide training throughout the territory, avoiding farmers travelling to Luanda to receive training.

Moreover, a program of after-sales services, maintenance and replacement of expendable parts has been established. Long-term maintenance service contracts and the availability of spare parts for after-sales support are a key part of the project.

Earlier in December 2019 the Memorandum of Understanding for The Development of an Agricultural Mechanization Program in Angola was signed between His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum and  His Excellency Antonio Francisco de Assis, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Government of Angola.
